About
the Director
My name is Jessica Free. I am the proud owner of Tap~N~Toe
School of Dance. At an early age I began taking tap, ballet and jazz
classes. It didn’t take long for me to expand into pointe, hip
hop and cheerleading.
I decided very young that I would grow up to
own my own dance company and share the gift of dance with children of
all ages. The extremely positive, enjoyable and rewarding experience
I took from my dance classes impacted me so much so that I set a goal
for myself to later become a role model and coach to others.
I never let go of that dream and studied dance
for 12 years before becoming an instructor at a local studio as I studied
dance at Texas Tech University. In 2000 I moved to Austin to make my
dream of teaching dance to children a reality. By August 2001, I was
holding my first classes as the owner/director of Tap~N~Toe School of
Dance!
I feel there is a need to make the classes as convenient as possible
for the parents, while still providing professional, knowledgeable,
structured, fun classes to all ages and levels. I have a huge love for
children and want to provide a place that will bring them only positive
and happy memories in an environment that encourages education in each
specific program. It is a priority that I show parents that I am a professional
dance company that they can grow with and trust.
